I can remember thinking just that. But it seemed I always just needed one more client. 

Because one more client needed more resource, more man-hours, and as we know, time is money.

So there wasn't a huge amount of profit in taking on one more client. And I'd find that extra client and then I'd need one more and maybe one more. 

But then I learnt the secret. That rather than having more clients to manage, what I actually needed to do was to add more value to the clients I already had so that I'd be able to charge more to them.
